EPOS-N project partners

The following institutions are involved with EPOS-N:

  • University of Bergen (UiB)
    UiB is the coordinator for the EPOS-N project and has the responsibility for WP1-Management and WP3-Improved Monitoring in the Arctic. In addition, UiB participates in the remaining Work Packages WP2-E-infrastructure and WP4-Solid Earth Science Forum.
  • Norwegian Research Center AS (NORCE)
    NORCE participates in EPOS with its competence within visualization, simulations and modeling. NORCE’s involvement and role in the project relates particularly to data processing and visualization requirements. 
  • NORSAR
    NORSAR contributes mostly to WP3-Improved Monitoring in the Arctic with the establishment of seismic arrays on Bear Island and at Hornsund.
  • Norwegian Mapping Authority (NMA)
    NMA contributes mostly to WP3-Improved Monitoring in the Arctic with the installation of continuous GNSS stations.
  • Geological Survey of Norway (NGU)
    NGU contributes to WP3-Improved Monitoring with an aeromagnetic survey in the area west of Svalbard.
  • University of Oslo (UiO)
    The main contribution by UiO is the coordination of the Solid Earth Science Forum in WP4.
